Virat Kohli is an Indian International cricketer, who is a middle-order right hand batsman and a right arm medium pace bowler. He was the captain of the champion Indian team at the 2008 U/19 Cricket World Cup held in Malaysia. Virat represents Delhi in first-class cricket and is the captain of the Royal Challengers Banglore franchise in the Indian Premier League. He was the part of the Indian team which won the "2011 World Cup". He is also a co-owner of the ISL team FC Goa and the IPTL franchise UAE Royals. Virat Kohli was awarded the 'Man of the Tournament' for his brilliant performance in the ICC World T20. He was honoured with the prestigious Padma Shri award on January 26, 2017.

Virat Kohli was born on 5 November 1988 in Delhi. He studied at Vishal Bharti and Savier Convent, Delhi. He got his initial cricket training in West Delhi Cricket Academy, since 1998. He also used to play matches for Sumit Dogra Academy in Vasundhara Enclave near Noida. Virat Kohil's role model is Herschelle Gibbs of South Africa. He is fascinated about Lawn tennis and is a huge fan of Leander paes (Indian tennis star) and Roger Federer (The Swiss tennis legend).
